Tips

To fully enjoy this ski route, we recommend taking the first cable car in the morning so that you have enough time for the route and impressions.

Ski touring is endurance sport. Before the ski touring season, train basic endurance in other endurance sports. The valuable load stimuli for heart and circulation require health and good self-assessment. Avoid time pressure and increase intensity and scope of your routes slowly. Pay attention to reserves of strength for the descent. Fluids, energy, and breaks are necessary to maintain performance and concentration. Hot, isotonic drinks are ideal thirst quenchers and heat providers. Muesli bars, dried fruit, and biscuits satisfy small hunger on the way.

The professionals of the Montafon mountain guides (www.montafon.bergfuehrer.at) recommend thorough basic training, avalanche and risk management. We recommend guided ski tours with our Montafon mountain guides. You can find the program for the routes at www.montafon.at/skitouren
