Nestled between the Rätikon, Verwall and Silvretta, the 39-kilometre-long Alpine valley stretches from Bludenz to the Silvretta, crowned by the 3,312-metre-high Piz Buin, the highest mountain in Vorarlberg. Eleven different villages characterize the valley - from lively Schruns with its only pedestrian zone to the highest village of Gargellen at over 1,400 metres. With roughly the same number of locals as guest beds, life here is always on the move.
