Tourbeschreibung

A popular route among locals starting at the Sonnenbalkon. Also well suited for strollers. Complete peace and great views over the Montafon and even beyond await you.

Description

A suitable route for all those looking for absolute peace. Picturesque views of the Vandanser Steinwand with the imposing mountain Zimba accompany you on this route. You also get to see the mighty towering Drei Türme of the Rätikon. In addition, you will be rewarded with views into the Montafon. Looking down the valley, you can see the Alpine town of Bludenz and the Walgau in the distance. Ideally suited for families traveling with strollers who still don’t want to miss out on magnificent views. The destination of the route is the listed Valleu Chapel from 1752. Nestled on a meadow slope, the chapel is said to be surrounded by the greatest variety of orchids in the Montafon.

Directions

The path leads from the center past the Hotel Berger Hof on the paved Luttweg (passing the municipality office) heading northwest. The very flat path goes straight through the Lutt parcel into a gravel path. Time and again, breathtaking views open up into the Walgau with the town of Bludenz or to the opposite "Vandanser Steinwand." Shortly afterwards, the path leads through a forest about 300 m slightly uphill and then downhill again. After just over an hour, you reach the Graves parcel (1,100 m). Follow the signpost towards the chapel, which you will reach after about 25 minutes. Here you have reached the outermost point of the beautiful hike. With a fantastic view towards Bludenz, this spot is perfect for a break.

The same path leads back to the Graves junction. Here you turn right towards Marentes. This section is one of the most beautiful on this hike. After about 30 minutes you reach Marentes. In Marentes, on the gravel path, slightly uphill again, you reach the Lutt parcel. From here, it goes back on the same paved path to the center of Bartholomäberg.
