No​.​ 10: Gufelgut Rund ​(​classic​)​

Description

The Gufelgut Rund course is mostly on the former golf course of the Silvretta Golf Club in Partenen. The demanding classic trail lies off the roads in a beautiful landscape. Right on the trail is the "Gufelste" (Gufelstein), a huge split rock which is very suitable for a great souvenir photo. The approximately 1 km long trail is especially recommended for ambitious classic skiers.

Approach

Coming from Bludenz, take the Bludenz/Montafon motorway exit and follow the L188 into Montafon to Partenen (Lifinar Lift).

Just leave your car

The regional buses of the Montafon Railway operate throughout Montafon. The main lines run hourly from Schruns train station.

From Schruns train station you reach Partenen with bus line 650. The stop is: "Loch". On foot, continue down the valley towards the toll station.

For the return trip

With bus line 650 you can get back from Partenen to Schruns train station.

Arrival by train

From Bludenz train station, the Montafon Railway runs hourly (sometimes half-hourly). There are also direct connections from Lindau (Germany) and from Bregenz.

Parking

Parking lots are located at the Lifinar Lift in Partenen.

Directions

The entry is via a connecting trail from the Lifinar Lift parking lot at the edge of the village of Partenen. On the classic connecting trail, the path leads about 300m southeast (down the valley) to the start of the trail. The round is done counterclockwise. First, the trail leads over two loops to the edge of the forest, where the ascent of about 30 meters in altitude begins. The trail goes up past the "Gufelste" (split rock) to a stone wall, where after a left loop the descent begins again.

Tips

The highlight of this trail is the "Gufelste" (split rock). In Montafon, the cross-country ski trails can be used free of charge.
