Directions

Day 1
Start in Schruns. The first altitude meters you cover with the Hochjoch and Sennigrat cable cars. We recommend taking the 3:30 pm cable car. We recommend making the ascents by cable car, as the hike the next day will be very long. From the top station of the Sennigrat chairlift, you reach the Wormser Hut in a comfortable 15 minutes.

Summit ascents: Zamangspitze (2,386 m) in approximately 1 1/4 hours; Kreuzjoch (2,395 m) in about 1/2 hour.

Day 2

The route starts at the Wormser Hut and passes the following points: Kreuzjoch, Grasjoch/Furkla, Wormser Törl, along the Piziguter ridge, Rossberg, Valschavieljöchle, Madererjöchle, New Heilbronner Hut. We recommend taking enough to drink. The hike is indicated with a pure walking time of about 9-10 hours with ascents and descents of 1,000 meters. In addition, the great and varied but very long route is recommended only for very fit mountain hikers.

Day 3

From the New Heilbronner Hut, the path continues over the Bruckmann path, trail 516 to the Wannenjöchle in the Fasultal until you reach the Konstanzer Hut. It is a moderately difficult mountain path with an ascent of 500 meters and a descent of 1,150 meters. Pure walking time is about 6 hours.

Summit ascent: Patteriol (3,056 m) - ascent from the Bruckmann path in about 2 1/2 hours over the normal route, difficulty grade II (to the summit)

Day 4

From the Konstanzer Hut the path continues over the Reutlinger path to Gstansjoch, Kaltenberg lake and over Krachenjoch to the Kaltenberg Hut. This path is also rated moderately difficult. Ascent: 1,100 meters, descent: 700 meters. The pure walking time is about 5 1/2 hours.

Day 5

From the Kaltenberg Hut, the descent starts and ends in St. Christoph on the Arlberg pass (bus stop). The easy mountain path is indicated with a descent of 293 meters and a pure walking time of about 2 hours. Back to the starting point in Schruns you first take the bus (change shortly before Lech junction is necessary) or from Bludenz by Montafon railway (train).
